Need advice for Lake Toho FL Rods/Guides

Featured Replies

I will be heading to the lake toho area of Orlando Florida from the 12th to the 15th of March.  I am looking for an affordable guide (less than the standard $275 for 4 hours kind of junk online).  Im laid back and a friendly guy east to get along with.

I am also looking to buy a rod for Lake Toho.  I have several 7'0 MH Rods so im not looking for one if those.  Outside of those specs if anyone could have and use just ONE rod and reel for Lake Toho what would it be?  Suggestions needed!  Thanks guys!

I would take a heavy rod for the heavy cover you are likely to be fishing, and I expect you will be paying more than you are hoping to pay to hire a good guide who knows where in that cover the fish are likely to be hiding. And it will probably be worth it.
