Price being the same, fish small lakes in Western PA only, which is the better unit.  Hook2 7inch or the discontinued HDS Gen 3.    I like the fact that the Hook2 only needs the one transducer, but the touchscreen on the Gen 3 is pretty neat.   Any experience with either?

    I would go with the HDS Gen 3. The touch screen option is rather nice but you also have the normal button functions as well. 

    The other plus is you can link other units to the Gen 3 and share info

    Hds has a 2 year warranty also. The hook2 only has a 1 year.
