What's the ideal place to store your batteries over the winter?

I have always just kept them in my garage. Would the basement be better option?

Any place warm is better, not on the ground of course!

Not to mention ALWAYS fully charged.

on an automatic tricle charger with full acid / distilled water.  and warmer.

I know it gets cold as heck, originally I am from Chicago, but I will still but them indoors I would have forgot to put them on trickle I have one for my bike I guess I will need to set up a rotation.  Has anyone ever trickle charged a bank of batteries? (in parallel)

Charging, whether in series or parallel, is not good with a single bank charger.

i get them fully charged first then i put them in my house where its warmer and on a little table i keep in the closet
