Lovely evening on the lake ;)

Featured Replies

I get to my local lake around 5pm to get in a couple hours despite the air temp being 90* Yep... NINETY!

I throw on a rage tail and get a solid hit on the second cast. I get him to the dock and as I pull up on the rod to grab him it SNAPS! Brand new, bought 3 weeks ago. I landed a 6 pounder with it but this 2 pound fish snaps the rod....  I looked on in disbelief and all I could think is;

I GOTTA LAND THIS BASS!!!!

HA!

Ouch

Durn it!!

In terms of breaking rods it really has to do with the angle in which the weight is pulling down from. Anyways, glad you could make the best of it.

It happens... need to bring a comparable rod with me to leave in the car in the future.

I was really more upset over the lost fishing time. The gear is replaceable. Time is not... ?
