new lake fishing,Headwaters.

Featured Replies

go to fish the new lake next to the Stick Marsh this morning.been open for a little while to non powered vessels.kayaks, canoes etc. no trolling motors either. spent 3 hours in a yak and caught 36 fish up to 3 1/2 lbs. what a great place this is going to be. some are calling it Stick Marsh 2.0.....fluke style baits, spinnerbait, topwaters. wind started to pick up so used the drift to help me along. but this place is going to be full of boats when they get the ramp built, about a year before it.s done.

Enjoy the solitude while it lasts!  But I’m glad to hear they finally figured out the boat ramp situation.  When I was down there this March, we talked to the biologist and they’re already catching double digits.  That place is goin to be SLAMMED when it’s finally open.
