Duckett micro magic crankin rod

Featured Replies

I got a used duckett micro magic rod today as part of a trade. I was trading for a different rod (one of those that can't be named) and a tatula reel. The duckett just sort of cane along with the package deal.  Anyway it's a model df69mmcc 6'9" M/M casting rod.  I'm not really a crankbait guy so I don't know if it's a good rod or not.  I fished it for a little bit today and couldn't get a bite but it feels comfortable in the hand to me just a whole lot more whippy than any of my other rods.  Just curious what anybody with experience with one of these thinks of it.

I’ve fished a few of the duckett rods. I like them on shallow cranks. Hey, pardon my ignorance, but where do I find a link to the gear that is not to be named? I don’t wanna cause problems by mentioning things I shouldn’t out of ignorance.

As far as I know there I no list on the site they you can see.  There are a few companies that we're not supposed to talk about. The admins have added the names of the companies and their rod/reel model to the bad word filter on the site so if you try to type them they will show up as ***** when you submit a post.  I you get the astrix don't try alternative spelling or putting spaces between letters to get it past the filter.

I really like duckett rods However I prefer glass or composites for cranking I’m not into graphite for cranking just prefrance, I agree that the duckett cranking rods are a bit noodley but some people prefer that when cranking, your going to excel with those  rapala dt6s or any slow cranking crankbaits.
