Need an idea for an inflatable "trailor".

Featured Replies

I fish in my Sea Eagle inflatable boats.  I was thinking the other day how it would be nice to be able to get everything off the floor of the boat and all I would need would be a little tow behind mini raft thing just to put stuff in and tow along.

Anyone have an idea for something like this.

You could use one of those tubes that kids ride on behind boats, I have seen them at dick's with the tow rope already attached.

That's a good idea. I have been online looking at all sorts of inflatable pull behinds, pool toys etc.

One thing I have seen that is a great idea is from Coleman called an inflatable cooler-#5990A200. It is a small inflatable ring that you drop a 30 to 50 qt cooler in. I am going to get one of these anyway. It will hold up to 100 pounds of ice, drinks etc! Has some sort of tethering features on it so you can strap it to your inflatable boat.

Bass Pro has them.

Do as LBH says and you cam pull your Sea Eagle as a toy behind it.

Sea Eagle's are good but I would say they don't make good tow boats

No way I need a bigger boat.  I have several lakes I fish that have no road to them.  I just hoist the SE6 over my shoulder and walk through the woods and drop it right in.

I have decided on the coleman inflatable cooler idea. Picked one up at BPS.  They make two sizes, one for a 50 qt cooler and one for a 26 qt. Perfect to just tie behind the boat and sit either the large or small cooler in and get some stuff in it.

You have to learn to work with the wind in these.  An anchor is a must also.  Great boat.   If I was into large bodies of water, yes a bigger ridgid boat is the way to go, but for anything under say 500 acres, the inflatable is just great.
