New chronarch vs tatula sv tws

Featured Replies

Loved the way the newer chronarch felt, has anyone done a direct comparison between that n the Daiwa tatula sv tws?

I have a chronarch mgl 7.1:1 and the daiwa tatula sv tws 6.3:1. The daiwa is faster more user friendly to set up especially for beginners. Easier casting in wind, faster change overs from various baits due to the magnetic brakes. The chronarch is way smoother, lighter, more comfortable palming, once I used it I much prefer it for most of my fishing needs. If I could afford to replace most of my reels with them I would

I'm the opposite.  I find the Tatulas are smoother than the Chronarchs AND for longer.  I'm in the process of replacing all my reels with Tatulas.  Also, you can't really compare the speed of two different reels when they are different gear ratios.

I didn’t mean faster on the retrieve I meant easier to set up, faster to set up and get fishing.
