Sea Eagle Fold Cat

Featured Replies

I am considering getting an inflatable catamaran to use since I will be fishing mainly smaller lakes/ponds and by myself most of the time. After reading a lot of posts, the Sea Eagle 9 seems to get some rave reviews/recommendations but I really like the Fold Cat. Does anyone on this forum have/use one of the Fold Cats and, if so, how do you like it? Is it easily rowed/handled by one person?? Can a guy easily put and remove it from the top of a truck like an Explorer fully inflated and ready to use? I am kinda concerned about the constant inflating and deflating and the adverse affects of doing that to any inflatable's valves and fabric. Should that be any worry with a high end/quality inflatable like the Sea Eagles or ODC?? Thanks for the info!!!

Popeye. I've got the FoldCat  375fc Pro Angler Package.

I've had it since Nov. 06. I've used it to float/fish the Taccoa River in N. Cent. GA. and Alot of ponds here in central FLa. It's comfortable & easy enough to handle by myself. Even easier if fishing with a buddy.

It is not something I would want to wrestle to the top of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. You would need a roof rack of some kind, and the 75# is just the boat & floorboards only, no seats stiffeners etc. I don't believe that inflating/deflating hurts the boat, at least not mine. I have put in and taken out beside other brands on the river in GA. not much diff time wise to get ready or take out. mine fits in the back of my JGC with enough room left for equip for two men. Rods reels waders vests pfds cooler (you get the idea). It also handles reasonably well with a 30# trolling motor on the back.

PM me if you want any more info.

I'd give it a 2 thumbs up.

They are made to inflate and deflate over and over. It won't hurt them at all.

I have several Sea Eagles, the SE6 and SE8.  I love them. I am going to get a SE9 when the right deal comes up.  Been finding them used for good prices during the winter.  Summer comes the used prices go up.

Anything you get from them is a good product.
