Over 100mm handle?

Featured Replies

Was wondering if any of you use a handle that's over 100mm for bass fishing.

I recently acquired a 120mm handle through a reel purchase on eBay. The seller didn't specify how long it was, although it looked pretty big. I was pretty surprised how big it was in person and and apprehensive about using it, especially since I was running an 80mm handle on my swimbait reel.

Well it looked too pretty and matched the reel great, so I took it out last weekend and fished some swimbaits earlier in the morning. I've got to say it wasn't strange feeling at all, quite the opposite. I could slow roll a 185mm shine glide smooth as butter. I'm sold. 20180701_143551.thumb.jpg.989d4c2d13b3e736c0f7105a22b35d61.jpgAnyone else have bigger handles on their reels? What are your opinions?

Wow! A 96mm on a low profile reel is the longest I have seen.

One sweet looking reel.
