Has anyone fished Stonewall Jackson there’s a trip planned to go there late August early September and I was wondering if anyone has fished the lie during this time and if they could give me any pointers on what works good that time of year 

Don't know about the lake. Never fished it. But did talk to a guy in California on the CB while passing thru that area. That was some skip going on there.

I've fished it a few times. It's a beautiful lake full of standing timber and is home to some real trophy size largemouth. But august until October is a tough time of the year there. Fish will suspended in the trees and they are very hard to locate. I've lean to main lake on the resort side of the lake. Try small fitness jigs and shakyhead. My go to on that lake in that time of the year is a 4 inch senko rigged on a shaky head. Also balsa flat side crankbaits work around the deeper edges of any grass that is present
