Anchor woes.  Anchor pully recommendations?

Featured Replies

Gang,

I like to anchor every now and again (especially on windy days) but the achor ropes always create a big tangled mess.  Also, if I don't use leather gloves to lower/raise the anchor, I get rope burns.  Ouch! :)  Do you have recommendations as to a good achor pulley?  Should I go electric?  Are the hand crank models any good?

I have the archormate, which was nice to have. No longer did I have to mess with tangled archor rope in by boat.

Thanks for the link!

I didn't see prices or which retailors carry them.  Does BPS or Cabela's carry them?  I think this would be a good investment.

My cheap setup it works. Should give you some thoughts.
