Any feedback on SeaEagle Foldcat 375s???

Featured Replies

My wife and I are looking into buying a Seaeagle 375 Foldcat inflatable and was wondering if anyone out here had any knowledge of those boats.  They appear to be just what we would like in terms of portability, stability, etc. for both cove fishing in lakes and floating some of the Missouri Rivers.  Any feedback or reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the BEST Bass fishing forum on the planet, IMO:o) I was considering getting one of those Foldcats too BUT after extensive research on the net and fishing forums, I found Skookum catarafts and am leaning towards one of them IF I don't end up getting something like a rigid small boat (the Bass Hound is the one I think I'd prefer IF I can get it into the back of my Explorer Sport and not have to bother with a trailer). A small Jon boat is another option to consider. They aren't all that heavy and can easily be handled by a couple of folks. There are really so many options available it's hard to decide. Inflatable or rigid. All things pretty much equal, I'd prefer a rigid over an inflatable for shear safety's sake. Of course I'd wear a PFD with either style small boat, especially since I'll be fishing alone most of the time.

Well thanks for the welcome Popeye...I definitely like this forum better than a couple of others I've been on....lots of information here and very well organized.  In regard to the Seaeagle....I have done lots of net research also....haven't found anything negative yet...and talked to an independent sales person of those crafts and he said he's been to Alaska, etc. with the Seaeagle and it handled great on Level II waters also....we're just needing something portable since most of our trips we'll also be pulling our 30 foot travel trailer.  I'll check out the Skookum's also....thanks for the reply

Welcome Fishercouple.

I've had the Foldcat375fc for over a year now and have no complaints whatsoever. I bought it to float the rivers in N. GA. fly fishing for trout. It stows nicely in the basement of my Class A RV for travel, and then loads easily in the back of the Jeep Grand Cherokee to go fishing. Just used it yesterday here in Central FL to fish a small lake that doesn't allow motors.  I've had many others watch in amazement on arrival & then again on departure. Setup & Packup are no trouble. Tho a 5min. inflate is faster than I have ever done. Realistically 20 minutes setup start to finish, and maybe 10 minutes to packup & leave.

PM  me if you'd like to talk more about it.
