Kissimmee River

Featured Replies

Anyone fish there recently? Specifically the stretch from where it goes under 70 then South towards Okeechobee. Thinking of going there this weekend.

I was there a few weeks ago but launched out of Scott Driver.

It was tough going for sure.

I suggest you hit the shore line real heavy, hitting every heavy mat you can.

Didn't have any success from 5 yds out.

Good Luck

Exactly what I was afraid of Mike! I guess it's just this heat. It's been super tough everywhere. I'm just desperately searching for somewhere to have a decent weekend with my son.

There is a lot of clean water (more than whats been advertised) on the north shore.

If I were you, I'd try the 1st point behind Kings Bar. There was some light algae near the 2nd point where it opens into the lake but there were fish.

After that turn around and head past Hog Island and stop just before the opening to Governors Cut.

If you want, go through the cut to the pier and have the boy throw a wacky rig all around it.

First I have to figure out where all this stuff is at ?. Don't know much by name out there.

Found me a good map so I'm good now. Last time I was there the monkey box was a bust.

Dink

I'd be happy to walk you through it but it might be easier if you find a map of the lake somewhere that way I can pinpoint those and others for you.

Let me know

Epic face plant! Waves were unreal on Okee then the rain moved in by 9am. River was a bust as well. Ended up on Lake Josephine just to redeem myself with a couple dinks. ?

I thought about you today and wondered if you still decided to go considering the forecast.

Timing is everything I guess.

Yeah bad choice but after not being out for so long I figured it would be better than nothing. I was wrong, haha.
