I am in the early stages of getting a more "real" boat and i have a question about my electronics.  I would like to mount the transducer on the TM but I am not sure if i need a special transducer or can i just use the one that I have?

If you have a standard skimmer type transducer that comes with many of todays depthfinders both Cabelas and BPS sell a mount that allows you to mount that type of X-ducer to the TM head.

If you use a TM transducer versus an adapted transom mount on your TM you are eliminating alot of excess baggage. The TM mounted transducers are alot more lower profile.
