Mud river West Virginia

Hello, I'm from Maryland and this fall Ill be going down to my uncles house near Milton, WV. The mud river runs through the end of his property. I fished there last fall for half an hour catching a few small scrappy spots and sunfish on a micro squarebill. The water was very low, but clear. Ill spend more time fishing and wading down there this fall. Is there any sizeable fish in there and should I use my regular bass gear? Any help is appreciated, Thanks and have a nice day!      Ps. (yes I have fished the upper mud lake and yes I know that there are musky and that therye an option)
