In about a month I plan on taking a camping trip to Arkansas. I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for places to camp and fish. I will for sure have waders and my fly rod, as well as my usual tackle, hopefully to be able to target some trout, but I also wouldn't mind a good smallmouth fishery. I will most likely not have a boat with me, so water that can be accessed via wading or from shore would be perfect.

Where in Arkansas? If NW then Elk river is a good place to catch a lot of smallies. Might not get any big ones but lots of fun.

Sorry I forgot to clarify.  I'm meeting someone from fayetteville to go camping so anywhere within a few hours of there would be great.
