Hello all, I'm looking into getting a new spinning gear.. I have a rod in choice which is the donyns fury medium ( for lite lures and skipping, bc I can't throw them on bait casters) and for the reel I was looking at the kastking speed demon.. I'm aware that bass resources likes KK. My question is  a high gear ratio spinning rod needed? What are the pros and cons ? Thanks 

i own a speed demon spinning reel. its a nice reel.

high speed reels do not work well for all situations.

if you are fishing baits like jigs, worms, shakyheads the high speed is good for picking up line quickly.

if you are fishing baits like crankbaits or spinnerbaits a slower real works better. you get less fatigue.
