I have been saving and saving money and finally found a great reel for me as a beginner. I found Shimano just recently and I have one on a 6'6 medium heavy rod. I have a bigger rod for jigs but would love to know what lures would be great to start throwing on the shimano Caius? I have thrown a small swimbait, what else? 

Unless you get to really light lures, there shouldn’t be any true limits to your reel for most bass fishing applications.
