Does anybody know any places I could catch smallmouth from shore in North Jersey? I live in Bergen county.

    I grew up in South Jersey. It's been awhile but have you tried the Delaware Water Gap. I'm sure the river has a few. Hopatcong probably does too.

    The Delaware can usually be waded in the summer (or fished from a kayak most of the year), and you can target anything from brown trout to smallies or walleye.
