New version of the Lews Speed Spool LFS. Anybody try one out yet?

Featured Replies

Has anybody tried out the new version yet? The older versions of the LFS looked to be popular with good feedback. Looking at the Lews site it looks like they upped the game somewhat. At least it sounds interesting on cyber paper. Not sure when they actually came out as it says new for 2019 so may be why there really isn't any reviews out there yet.

I wound up ordering one in the 5.6.1 gear ratio the other day during the eBay 15% off promo. I was looking at the lower gear ratio offerings and it seemed like the best bang for the buck as most low gear ratio offerings tend to be more towards the retail pricing. $60 seemed like a no brainer too me.

All my current reels are higher gear ratio and I like to throw cranks a lot....Literally! My local lake water level is way up! I'm thinking I'll have to throw some deeper diving cranks when the weather is bearable to take the yak back out.
