Battery

Featured Replies

What brand of battery do you use for your trolling motor and would you buy another one?

I run 3 29sr walmart batteries one for starting and 2 for tm run in parrell. I usualy run all day with the trolling motor.

I can replace all three at the cost of some of the others want for just one.

I use a ACDelco M27MF. Yes I would buy another one.

I have one from Bass Pro, and one Everstart. I can't really complain about them but where I fish the road in is very bumpy and the bass pro one leaks. Next time I'll buy Interstate to try them. A friend of mine that works on boats says there is a BIG difference and he has always steered me straight.

I had been using cheap batteries from a local battery store and not getting good service from them.  I bought 2 Trojans from Batteries Plus and they are stronger and run longer than the others.  They are expensive, but if I have the money when it's time to replace I will buy Trojans again.  It is also very important to follow good charging practices to get maximum battery life.
