Batter acid-Need advice quick

My battery tipped over today and eveidently battery acid spilled out in to my boat.  I have a BPS pond hopper, what can i do to minimize the effects of the acid on the plastic hull.

    hit it with a weak base like baking soda.  It shouldn't have an effect on the plastic though.  Your battery is made of plastic too.  But the baking soda will make it easier/safer to clean up.

    Thanks, I did that and it looks as though the only damage is to the surface finish.
