More speed?

Featured Replies

Ok,

I just got my first bass boat.

It's a 1990 Ranger 365v with a 150 Johnson. It has a SS 4 blade prop(not sure which one).

I GPS'ed it at 55MPH @5500 RMP.

Is that all I'm going to get out of the top end? What can be expected for a top end speed with that set-up?

Thanks

Shaun

Congrats on the new boat! I was in a ranger friday that was going waaaay too fast for me. I wished it had topped out at 55 :)

I would have to say thats in the ball park for that boat.  I would have to say 58 is the max ur going to get out of it.  If it had the max hp of 175 I would have to say it would run 58- 62 mph.  I've been in a few of these boats and thats about as fast as we are able to get.

About right yes.  Those 360 - 370 series boats were lead sleds.
