And yet another side imaging question....lol

Featured Replies

I just got a 14ft Lowe (48 inch floor), I dont know an incredible amount about boats and the like, just a bit.

Got a friends dad, who is a genius at working on boats and boat knowledge in general but he doesnt know much in the way of these newer electronics units.

Question is, with this particular boat, running a 40hp Johnson seahorse, would I need a high speed kit( I am assuming not since I really wont be hitting a "high" speed)and also would I probably have to have a trolling motor transducer or would a thru-hull mount one work and if so which one would be best suited for what I am running.

Sorry if any of this is scattered a bit and kinda confusing, I am trying to dispatch drivers at work while doing this as well.

Gotta love multitasking!

:)

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

Cyas,

No, you don't need a high speed kit. My bass boat that runs over 60 doesn't need it. I have my SI transducer mounted at the bottom of the pad for SI and high speed readings at all speeds.
