First fish on a baitcaster!

Featured Replies

After only ever using spinning gear, I finally bought a baitcaster. I spent a few days getting comfortable with it, and finally fished it today. In 45 minutes or so I caught two small bass and a good sized chain pickerel burning a Keitech just under the surface.

I learned a LOT today and I’m feeling very accomplished.

I'm still working on catching my first one using a baitcaster too..    Nice lil fish,  I hear the fish will look bigger if you hold the fish out from you.   ;)

You know I've seen people hook themselves in the fingers, hands, side of the head, ears.. the foot even, but I've never seen anyone hook themselves thru the nose...  I bet that hurt like hell  ?

It's all good...  You're one up on this old man.   I'm still fighting backlashes and bird nests
