COULDNT FEEL much of a difference between GLX and new e6x rods..

Featured Replies

Sooo is it because maybe I’m inexperienced ? Only been fishing for 4 years but I didn’t notice much difference in sensitivity. Obviously the GLX was lighter and felt more solid I guess but as far as more sensitive .. not really anything

I have fished with $50 rods and $400 rods. It's all about experience. For some people a $400 rod will feel like they are getting a bite on EVERY rock, stick, moss, grass, twig, etc. I am currently using "cheap" Denali Fission rods and I can still feel the difference in a bite vs structure. Fishing is a game that is best played by those with experience versus those with a fat wallet.

That’s good to know.  I like how light it was but I guess I’m still inexperienced as far as “feel” I know what grass or rocks or stumps feel like but i need more time I guess. Not that I would buy a 450$ rod but I’m glad I know I need to learn more

No, you are fine. Too many people over think this sport. My Papa Jake probably caught more fish in his life than I could in 3 lifetimes. He used a Shakespeare rod an old abu reel. Doubt he ever once thought about sensitivity or casting distance.
