Not seeing many topics about this for 2019, have these things gotten better? I just got a small boat and need something <300 that can do the job. I like the wi-fi capabilities of this thing since I have a 8" tablet.

I used the wifish app on a tablet once and it displayed fine. The issue is seeing the tablet screen in the sun. I was thinking of fabricating a big shade but never tried it out. I'm planning on buying side imaging unit so I will not have as much us for a tablet screen.
