Calero lake status

Featured Replies

Anyone fish Calero in the last week or two? Has the water cleared up? are they starting to bed yet?

Thinking of bringing by Kayak out on Friday but was curious of conditions.

Calero and most other Santa Clara reservoirs are post-spawn they were peaking on beds 3-4 weeks ago.  Anderson I believe is just finishing up (water temps already in the 60's), Coyote might be the best bet.

I think you are correct. I went out on Friday and got skunked. Water was murky and 69-70 degrees already. Guess I missed the boat. Seems like it came early this year.

there was  pretty big Crappie die off at Calero, saw about 25 floaters.
