Help with a helix 7 di si gn2

Featured Replies

I've had my helix 7 for 2 years now and I don't think I am getting the si imagining quality I should. I would appreciate and suggestions any one has. I'm using the transducer that came with the unit, I'm am powering the unit from my starting motor trough the circuit board under the console.

What makes you feel that way?

Its not a plug and play deal with the graphs, from any brand. I adjust mine pretty regular, changing the scroll speed, contrast, and sensitivity to match conditions and area. Usually minor adjustments on each of them, just up or down one or two each.

Also make sure the transducer is level to how the boat sits in water when graphing.

I just don't get the clarity that I see on the box or on other units in demo or in videos.

The ones on the boxes and sales brochure are doctored up with photoshop probably, and thats after a expert went over and over and over the same thing making adjustments to get that image. With the right settings you can get good images though.

What ive done, to get better at imaging. I went to a bridge, and a few other places i know, and spent some time making passes by it, adjusting one thing at a time to learn how to tune the settings. I watched videos and researched what to adjust and why. Im still learning.
