Bicycle fishing

Featured Replies

I've found a number of places inaccessible by car to hand launch my 10' tinny and are only available by horse, walking or bicycle, no motorized vehicles. I have no horse, don't want to walk, and have a few bikes.

I'm rigging my trail bike with a rod holder, and I'm wondering if anyone else is fishing places only available by bike?

Do a google search for “cape cod canal fishing cruiser”. Good place to get some ideas.

As a kid aka before my license I used to do it all the time.  Now there are better options for me to fish that i can drive or just hike to.  I have even carted my kayak for close to a mile to get to some places but those days are behind me lol

Did that as a kid on the farm.  Strapped my tackle box to the rear luggage rack.  Used two pieces of plastic water pipe wired to the handle bar as dual rod holders.  No farm pond within five miles of my house was left untouched!

By horse huh? If I ever see anyone on a horse with a fishing pole, I’m buying that person beer. A lot of beer.
