Hi, just purchased a Terrova and was wondering if the motor has to be deployed to start pairing the motor to the remote? I thought I might have read at some point that pairing wasn't even necessary because its already set from the factory. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

The remote is paired at the factory. You should only need to do this if you add a new remote. 

You don't have to have the motor deployed to pair the remote. I did it in the garage with the motor stowed.
