No one wants to fish with him because he wants to keep track of how many fish he catches?

Keep outfishing him. Offer some education. He'll adapt eventually when he gets tired of it.

No, because he if catches more fish than you, he rubs it in your face. He literally called out the score on every fish caught until I got several fish ahead of him. 

I am his kid and I love him, but it got old, quick.
