Pond Prowler worth buying?

Featured Replies

I’m hoping to talk to a guy tomorrow about an older Pond Prowler that has a busted up corner because of a loading accident. No title available but this will literally be a little pond hopper.

Should be less than $100. Should I go to get it?

Yes buy it especially if it's less than $100 that's an easy fix on that corner.

That’s what I thought. What’s the best long term fix on it?

Dependent on the exact material it's made of. If your not concerned with it looking super pretty if you can match the type of plastic it's made of you can weld plastic with a propane torch tons of YouTube videos on it . Since that's well above water line you could silicone it shut just to keep water out and probably be just fine

Exactly what I was thinking. No, looks don’t matter. Probably could find a green bucket, cut it up and use a small propane torch to apply it. In the meantime I could take a half roll of Gorilla tape to it!

Exactly. Just plug it up and go fish !

I just bought a new Sun Dolphin Sportsman that I have sent off to register - this one will sit in the shade at my friend’s pond. Looking forward to getting it but my garage is full!

I just looked over the SCDNR regulations, and it looks like you aren’t supposed to buy any boat that doesn’t have a current title. Surely that wouldn’t count for this boat we don’t intend to title.

I wouldn't worry about it. Most watercraft under 14' doesn't have a title just a basic registration is all. If it's only going to be on private water don't worry about it
