I'll be heading down to Nashville in two weeks and and looking for a couple of areas to bank fish. I know there are park waters in the area, but don't know if they're worth checking out or not. Are there any retention ponds near the interstates? I've done well in some of the older ponds that were dug out when I-55 and I-57 were built.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Very few ponds around Nashville but many creeks and rivers.  Bank fishing in the area is very limited.  If your goal is to actually catch fish, check out one of the numerous kayak/canoe rentals on one of the area’s numerous rivers- there are good options in every part of Middle TN.
