NH smallmouth

Featured Replies

Hi all, I’m flying back home to New England from SoCal. My brothers and I are taking my father to NH for week of smallmouth fishing for Father’s Day. We will be fishing in Wolfeboro area but not on Winnie. Does anyone have any info on what stage bass are in,prespawn, spawn or post spawn?

Thanks for any help

I am on Squam and last Sunday was the first we have seen them moving up.  Temps are 58 on the surface and we are well behind most years for the spawn.  I will be out tomorrow and can report back.

Thanks Son! I happy to hear they are not in post spawn yet. Look forward to your trip report.

The bedding areas are far from active, but they are moving up.

The staging areas are improving and predictable areas will be getting more fun in the following weeks.  I believe  the spawn will be long, with the north and east sides of the lakes will go first

Thanks Son. Really looking forward to getting into some smallie action. Weather is looking pretty good so far for next week. With the spawn being behind does that mean the blackflies are running late too? I hate those things!

thanks again for the report!
