Im in the far west of the state, my buddy is out east near boston, we meet up in the middle of the state to fish often, ive fished mattawa, barton cove, the ct river.

lots of ponds around the orange athol area, would prefer something w/o a ton of boat traffic, a hidden gem? something off of route 2 is best, any tips would be appreciated.

(i have a small boat, 8' with a trolling motor, so something I can launch that in, its essentially a car top boat.)

 

I know this might be out the way but have consider Cape Cod . Loaded with places to catch both smallies and bucket mouth.
