leaving boat in brackish water

Featured Replies

I'll be going on vavcation at the end of the month on the ST.John's river, just south of Lake George.

I have a Bass Tracker aluminum boat that I want to leave at the covered boat slip for the week I'm there. Are there any extra precautions I should take leaving an aluminum boat in slightly saline water.Or will it be OK as long as I rinse real good with freshwater after my vacation?

Thanks for any suggestions in advance. :o

The boat will be fine in the water for the week.  I live on the coast of NC and had my boat in the water for long periods. Be sure to flush the motor down well and fog it afterward.  Do the same for your trailer .
