trolling motor

Featured Replies

good evening folks I have a bass raider 10e with a 55hp motor on it and I was wondering how deep it should be in the water cause when I use it on 4-5 speed it feels like its trying to come off the boat. what should I do to prevent this from happening and how deep should motor be in water

Right from a manufacturer, the top of the motor housing should be 12" below the water surface

As for the vibrations, how sturdy is the transom or the connection to the transom.  If the attachment point is not solid then any higher thrust will cause a vibration that will make the motor feel like it is trying to jump off the boat.
