Gene Larew Rock Banger

Featured Replies

I’m not sure why I quit fishing the Biffle Bug hard head/Biffle bug, but after breaking it back out this weekend and having success, Im going to throw it more often. I’m thinking about trying some of the Rock Badgers. Anybody use those?

I bought two packs a while back because they looked neat. Once I got them, I pretty much discarded them to the pile of "This will never get fished". They're a big, thick chunk of plastic and the plastic packaging was not supportive of them. I'd imagine getting a good, reliable hookset on a hunk of plastic that thick and short would be quite difficult.

While I've not caught a fish yet on these, they have amazing action. And they're no thicker than a large paddle tail Swimbait. I will catch fish on it, I'm sure. The action is that good on the swing head jig hooks. I'll try to update as soon as I get a chance to actually fish it. I tested the action in my pool and was very impressed.

Original Biffle Bug head and soft plastic trailer for me ...

I bought some of these and tried them in place of the biffle bug. They had great action and caught several good fish on them, but I get bit more on the biffle bug in my waters.
