I am having an issue with my 12v cigarette/accessory plug.  I wired in a new fuse panel  and everything works including the the accessory plug when I plug a spot light into it.  The problem is when I plug my blacklight up to it I get nothing. I have tried the blacklight in my car and it works fine.  I have even directly wired the accessory plug to the battery and it works but not when I run it to the fuse panel.

do you have the 12v outlet in your boat wired with the center to the positive of the battery?

OK. But is the center of your 12v outlet wired to the + side of the circuit. If your spotlight works that tells me the outlet is working. on a regular light bulb it does not matter where the + and - go. Your black light might have some kind of electronics,, a ballast, in it that is polarity sensitive and will not work if the center of your outlet is not +.

you sir are the man.  I had the wires run to the wrong connections.  It works great.  Thanks for helping me figure out i am an idiot
