Planning a trip in early April 2020  to Merrimac NH. I want to fish for smallies on the Merrimac River. Any tips or sections to float? I fished Horseshoe pond when i was little but want to get in the river.

    At that time of the year, the Bow power plant might be on.....if so, head on up.  The return water attracts a lot of good sized bass and the spawn may be on
