Hello new to the sight looks great well to start out can anyone give me some suggestions on a livewells iam wanting to put one in my boat but dont want to get into alot of money or drill holes in my boat can i use a cooler and any suggestions on how to set it up or pics to help me out. thanks :-/

I used to fish out of an ski/runabout boat and we made one with an ice chest.  Get an aerator from bass pro shops or simlar and put it in there.  We would change half the water out every couple hours and never had any problems.  On hot days, we would throw some ice in there.

Thats what i needed to know i dont want to drill holes or anything in my boat and only need it one day a week for a tournament and thats it only last about 4hours only 4 fish can be kept.

i dont think you can put ice in it because of the chlorine/ chemicals in your tap water, unless you put ice in a ziploc bag so it doesnt water down the water in the livewell.

Freeze Two litre bottles and use them during the day.  The idea is to keep the water around 10 degrees of the same temp as the lake.  Change water a few times during the day.  You can also use rejuventate if you want, but I've had no issues with the 2 litre bottles and water change

If it is hot out, keep the water cool with frozen milk jugs/2 liters and DO NOT change the water unless you want to change it in a seperate bucket. I've found that changing water shocks the fish, and if you keep it cool enough and put some Please Realase Me in there they should be fine. If it gets foamy, spray some Foam Off in there. Some guys use Hydrogen Peroxide in small dosages as well. I have yet to try this, but most definetly will. Also, an oxygenator or small bubbler from a pet shop helps put little micro bubbles in the water.

Hope this helps.

i change half of the water so not to shock em.  I use a big Coleman cooler with a bubbler and yet to kill one due to livewell issues.  Also, you want to wipe it down and let it fully dry every time you put it up.
