Springfield King-Pin Pedestal Wobble

Featured Replies

I just purchased a king-pin posi-lock pedestal seat and base last weekend from Cabelas.  I was really disappointed with how much the pedestal wobbled once it was installed.  Is this normal?  Do any of you have a stand up style pedestal that sits firmly when installed?

I recently bought a SwivelEze stand up pedestal and had to change the base to a SwivelEze to stop the looseness.  Is the base you bought the same brand as the pedestal?

Yeah, they were both Springfield.  I was really surprised though, by how much it moved.  I guess it is amplified because the pedestal is tall, but I knew I would be annoyed by it so I took it back.  Do you like the swivel-eze?  What style pole/base did you get?

Thanks for the reply.

I think it's called a Power Pin pedestal.  I also got the stainless steel base.  It has a nylon sleeve that can be replaced to keep a snug fit.
