I have an older Mercury 40 and between the top of the motor and the bottom there is a flexable cover that latches shut and there is a cover that goes over the little opening.

It is held into position by a spring plastic lever which has broken and has a pin into a blind hole. I can't figure out how to remove this hollow pin. Anyone have any ideas?
