Help with Onboard Charger  --  type and testing

Featured Replies

Well I plan on doing some restoration over the winter and have started getting the items i'm going to need. Anyway, I started going to some farm/estate auction in my area and have picked up some nice cheap stuff.

I got this charger and can't find any info on it. Its an OMC Systematched 10 AMP 3 Stage Auto Charger Model 505037.

I think it is for a 2 bank system based on the wires, but I have never seen or owned one. Can any one confirm anything about this charger?

Also, is there anyway to test the charger other than putting it on a battery?

I got this charger and two Vanner Schottky Isolators for $6 bucks! No there knew what they were for, not even the auctioner.

I hope they all work.

The charger looks good.  Great bargain if it works.

Diode isolators are being replaced by Combiners because isolators have a built in voltage drop of about 0.7 volts so your battery won't get a full charge.
