livewell install w/full plumbing

Featured Replies

let me preface by saying that i have a 17' pathfinder flatsboat that has a small livewell that holds 2-4 dozen pilchards, finger mullet etc. when i fish in bass tournaments, that livewell is way too small. i have to use a portable livewell that is a pain in the butt to take in and out of my boat. i am considering cutting out the livewell that is in there now and replacing it with a much larger one. my questions are:

1. on a scale of 1-10 how difficult will this be?

2. does anyone have a diagram of how the plumbing works. i.e. i want to be able to pump in fresh water as well as fill the tank without using a bucket.

3. how many gallons would be sufficient to keep 5 (hopefully large) bass all day long in a tournament?

please help.

thank you in advance
