Just trying to decide on a brand for a new depth finder, just wondering the most trusted brands out there. I figured you guys would know best.

    Hummingbird or Lowrance. both have their advantages and disadvantages. Pick one of the two in your price range and enjoy.

    If this is your first, PLEASE read the manuel, your unit will do amazing things if you will allow it.

    I picked humminbird. I am on my second unit and am very pleased. The thing that I like is the user friendly menus. Easy to navigate and use. For me that is a big deal. I am currently looking at my 3rd one, 2 years on my 2nd unit and I already want to upgrade(LOL).
