Looking for reviews on these reels? Is it any smoother or anything than the slx? I know the difference just curious?  Looking to buy a cple for my daughter and nowhere around has any in stock to play with or purchase.  Thanks

I've got both the SLX and XT. I'd say they feel basically the same, with the XT having a nicer frame and external brake adjustment. No smoothness difference. If you have the extra couple bucks to spend, the XT is the way to go IMO.

Any one on here who works for Cabelas or BPS know why they do not sell the SLX XT and only the SLX and the SLX DC?

I have the SLX, SLX XT, and SLX DC, for me the XT did feel a little smoother out of the box and seems to outcast both the SLX and SLX DC. But, I do have PP Braid on the SLX and SLX DC compared to Seaguar InvizX on the SLX DC.
