My house, work, and school, all have canals and lakes near them that I frequent weekly. I see them, I know they are there. I cannot get these Largemouth and Peacock to bite!  I feel like I've tried everything. 

 

I mostly fish worms.  I have tried Ned Rig TRD, Senko's, Zoom Fluke and chatter baits.  The worms with various weights for example, no weight, bullet weight, and beast hook style.  

 

The specific canal I fish the most, in Sunrise, FL.  Has a steep drop off that goes pretty deep right after some under water shrubbery.  Maybe only 20 feet across.  What tips can you guys give me to get these fish to bite. 

I’d swim a speed worm with a 3/16 weight or work a weightless stick worm from end to end and parallel to shore. 
Try to stay as stealthy as you can as you approach and make long casts. 
Ideally cast up on the opposite shore if you can, then bring it up through the grass. 
If you’re gonna walk the shore, backup about 5 yards then move, staying a few feet off.
